Your Expectations

Many of the people the Oaklea Trust help come to us through referrals from local authorities and health authorities, from where there have had their needs for care and support assessed.

Some people come to us directly to discuss their own or a family member's personal circumstances, without any involvement from the local authorities.

When you or anyone else gets in touch with us, the first thing we ask is to meet with you so that we can talk through your circumstances and appreciate your needs.

From here, we can build a picture of your life, understand where you want to be and what you would like to achieve.

If you have a personal budget and would like the Oaklea Trust to be your care and support provider, then please ask us about Individual Service Funds. If you are not sure about what choices are available to you or what other care and support providers exist, please just speak to one of our Support Brokers at Right Focus.

As a values-led organisation, your rights and choices are of paramount importance.

The Oaklea Trust create an environment where you are able to exercise a high degree of control and where your feedback and communication is supported.

The values of the Oaklea Trust are expressed in the statement that ‘the customer is at the centre of everything we do’.

You and other customers are always viewed as individuals with individual experiences, individual talents and individual needs. By utilizing the Trust's in house customer plan - ‘My Life My Choices’ - you and every other customer benefit from choice and control over your daily life and opportunities to develop your personal skills, be healthy, and receive support/care as and when you require.
