Job Vacancies
The Trust considers recruitment of quality employees as being key to its success in realising customer goals.
A commitment to employee work life balance underpinned by a series of ‘family friendly’ policies and practical benefits supports this approach.
All employees form constituencies through which they have representation on the Employees Consultative Group an opportunity to air and resolve matters of collective concern.
The Trust ensures that the statutory Maternity, Paternity and Time Off for Dependents provisions run in tandem with Compassionate and Special Leave and is currently considering a ‘Career Break’ framework.
The annual Employee Survey saw a very positive set of responses to some very direct questions. In response to the statement “I am pleased that I work for The Oaklea Trust” 87% either ‘Agreed’ or ‘Strongly Agreed.’ The survey, completed in June 2007 illustrates that in all of the important areas of consideration, working life at the Oaklea Trust is delivering Job Satisfaction and sense of worth and identification with the Trust Values.
Individual needs have many different voices, priority and urgency but the Trust promotes listening as the defining characteristic of our management style. It was no surprise that 92% of those responding to the same Employee Survey agreed or strongly agreed that “I feel valued by my line manager and those I work with.”
