The Oaklea Trust is a charity.
Our existence and continued operation relies on external funding, individual fund raising and the generosity of benevolent individuals.

The very nature of our organisation means there is a lot going on in the background (mostly unseen by those whose day to day living depends on us) but the focus and motivation of our people is what makes us a truly invaluable resource.

The Oaklea Trust works to the social model of disability which enables disabled people to look at themselves in a more positive way, which increases their self esteem and supports their future independence. We look beyond a person’s impairment, at all the factors which affect their abilities, and work with them to be a full and equal participant in society.

We do ask for help from individuals, companies and organisations to help meet the day-to-day running costs of the Oaklea Trust. If you are able to help contribute to us - any amount, large or small - then you are helping us continue our work.

Some of this fund raising is done in aid of Wishlist - a separate fund which is used specifically to help disadvantaged individuals and their families in a direct way. They are able to contact us, tell us what they require funds for and we then allocate monies to help with their request.

Some people are also kind enough to remember us in their will. Including the Oaklea Trust in your legacy means that your commitment to us and the people we help, will be acknowledged for years to come.

Please contact us at your convenience and a member of our team shall be delighted to discuss how you can make a genuine contribution to enhancing someone’s life.

If you would like to discuss remembering us in your will or legacy, please ask to speak directly with Stephen Baker, the Corporate Director here at the Oaklea Trust, who will be more than happy to talk through how you can help in further detail.

The easiest and simplest way for people to contribute funds to the Oaklea Trust is through www.JustGiving.com where you can donate any amount directly to us.

On behalf of everybody at the Oaklea Trust and, most importantly, the people we help and support, thank you.
