Au revoir - not goodbye -long serving Oaklea Trustees step down

Profile: Oaklea, 09th Nov, 2018

The Charity challenge - finding the next generation! Oaklea Trust have given an emotional send off at this week's AGM to two longstanding Trustees who have stepped down - Kevin Jones and Andy Blackman. They were presented by Oaklea Chair Cate Grimes with a suitably "refreshing" gift for their invaluable services rendered.

Kevin has been a Trustee for 8 years and Andy for 7. Both said they have truly ‘enjoyed the journey’. Andy has been invaluable in keeping the profile of Oaklea high -especially when Mayor of Kendal -and Kevin will still be around -as he will remain at Riversiders Trust -who Oaklea support. Both are well known figures in the community and will remain big fans of what Oaklea Trust is all about. Chair Cate Grimes: “Both Andy and Kevin have given their time and commitment to the Board and we will miss their knowledge, skills and support for all the work we do within Oaklea. We wish them every success for the future.”

Clearly Kevin & Andy have given up time as well as graft when ‘mucking in’ - but the rewards have been massive.
