One door shuts - another opens

Earlier this week we made a major announcement about the purchase of the former Edenside care home in Appleby, Cumbria. This morning our CEO Clive Wigley received the keys and while dodging the showers he quite rightly said; "Now the really hard work begins!"

Edenside was previously a residential care home for the elderly and has remained unoccupied since Storm Desmond in December 2015. The Oaklea Trust is keen to develop the site into extra care housing for local elderly people. Our Executive team are currently looking at innovative ways of funding our ambitious plans - some of this will include grants, public donations & fundraising. We are also looking into possible crowdfunding, corporate giving and social bonds.

If you would like to get involved with our plans we will be revealing more at a public event in Appleby in the new year - do get in touch if you have ideas, suggestions or know of possible funding streams we may not have considered. E: T: 01539 735025
