How you can help -fundraising for #ProjectEdenside
Our plans will cost around 1.2 million pounds -and a key element to #ProjectEdenside will be the need to raise around £250,000 through fundraising.
You could do a sponsored event - download our #ProjectEdenside sponsor form below
Why not give on a regular basis -for example set up a standing order -details below - or consider Gift Aid? Every penny will go to #ProjectEdenside.
Or give directly via our virginmoneygiving.com page - click on link below or look up Oaklea and go to Edenside
As an example - Viktoria Schaefer & her family are raising funds for Edenside by taking part in the ‘Gelt Gladiator’ mudfest challenge in June 2019! -see how easy it is to donate to our cause (a lot easier than actually taking part in ‘Gelt Gladiaor’!).

The fundraising ball was kicked off big time in February 2019 -when the Norben Charity gave a huge £15,000 donation to #ProjectEdenside - here you can see Trustee Dot Anderton with Oaklea CEO Clive Wigley. The Norben charity is Appleby specific and was set up by former Vicar of Appleby & Warcop Peter Norton - with the aim of supporting community projects in the area. Peter -who now lives in Ireland- was very moved by the aftermath of Storm Desmond and the floods of 2015 -not least because he was a regular visitor to Edenside to see the people who lived there. A massive thank you to Norben for this donation - only £235,000 to go!
