We believe in young people.

We aim to offer support at every stage of a young person’s life. Our team seeks to promote young people’s personal & social development and enable them to have a voice, influence and place in their communities and society as a whole. It aims to build resilience and character and give young people the confidence and life skills they need to live, learn, work and achieve.

In essence we now offer for Eden, Furness & South Lakes:

-Support at School 1 to 1

-Clubs, activities & groups

STOP PRESS - In 2020 we are offering support to Young people at every stage of their life 0-18 years -depending on the age of your child you can access either group activities or individual support.

We run activities for all young people aged 0-18.

Youth Clubs 11+

We are expanding our Youth Club offer across the Eden Valley -watch this space. We are also rebooting our Monday night youth club in Appleby.Do come along and help shape the new club with a drop in planned for 7th April at the Appleby Hub 1300-1700.

Activities for young people with disabilities (0-8 & 8-18 years)

Activities for those aged 0-8 - will be posted here soon.

We also have an activity programme designed specifically (ages 8-18) to give children and young people with disabilities a variety of supported activities to take part in.

Using local venues, we run a variety of after school term time clubs and activities. During school holidays we offer a range of full and half day sessions such as bowling and fun days. Parents and carers can have a real break whilst children can make friends, learn new skills and have fun!

We use local providers to ensure that a range of quality activities to suit all ages, abilities and interest are offered. Furness/Barrow activities:

Thursday 30 July: Bardsea Beach for a walk, exploring the beach, playing, puddle jumping. Snack and mat required for sitting and money for ice cream optional. Meeting at Roy’s ice cream van at 9.30 collection from Roy’s at 12.30pm.

PM: 1.30 Barrow park. Meet at small railway track collection at 4.30 railway track. Play on park, money for ice cream optional. Snack and mat required.

Monday 3 August Furness Abbey at 9.30am meet at Abbey Café. Kite flying and a walk. Snack and mat required for a break. Collection 12.30pm.

PM: 1pm – 4pm Furness Abbey (as above)

Thursday 6 August Hunt around Barrow. Meet at Opera Bingo Hall opposite Abbey View 9.30am – 12.30pm. Mat and snack.

PM: 1 – 4pm Hunt around Barrow (as above).

Monday 10 August Greengate school for play, craft and games. 9.30 – 12.30 Meet at Greengate school carpark. Snack and mat.

PM: 1-4pm Greengate School. Meet at school car park.

Thursday 13 August 9.30 – 12.30pm, Bardsea Beach for walk, meet at Roy’s ice cream van. exploring the beach, puddle jumping. Snack and mat required for sitting. Money for ice cream is optional.

PM: 1.30-4.30pm Dock Museum exploring and quiz then play on the park if the park is not too busy.

Monday 17 August Greengate school for play, craft and games. 9.30 – 12.30 Meet at Greengate school carpark. Snack and mat.

PM: 1.30-4.30pm Walk around the Abbey. Meet at Abbey Café.

Thursday 20 August 9.30-12.30 Barrow Park. Meet and collect at small railway track.

PM: 1pm-4pm Barrow Park

Thursday 27 August TBC
