Right2Work provide employment and training opportunities for disabled and disadvantaged people in South Lakeland.
Our work experience and training programme supports adults to learning new skills and move towards gaining paid sustained employment. If you are interested in joining our programme please contact us.
We always need volunteers as well, so if you can offer us some time, we have lots to offer you in return.
Our team collects large household goods on behalf of South Lakeland District Council and wherever possible we either refurbish and sell at affordable prices, or recycle. This prevents a lot of waste going to landfill.
If you would like to request a collection, please telephone the SLDC Customer Contact Centre on 0845 050 4434.
Following your request to SLDC, you will receive a call from our team at Right2Work. They will ask for more information about the goods you wish to have collected, and arrange an appointment with you to collect the items.
Collections will be made between 8am and 4pm from Tuesday to Saturday, with evening collections until 8pm each Thursday.
You will also be offered the opportunity to receive a phone call or text message prior to collection letting you know that we are on our way.
Collections will be possible from inside the home, or if you wish from a location outside the property.
All our collectors carry proof of identification. If you have any doubt about the identification of the collectors please telephone us or SLDC Customer Contact Centre on 0845 050 4434. You should not allow any persons to enter your home or collect your items unless you are sure of their identity.
PLEASE NOTE: Our collectors are only able to accept items that have been booked and paid for. They will not be able to accept any other donations.
Later this year Right2Work will be opening a retail outlet at Dockray Hall in Kendal where you will be able to buy items that have been re-furbished.
