Where your money goes

Oaklea is a registered charity (Registered Charity No. 1091722).

We rely upon the support of generous and benevolent individuals and organisations in order to continue our essential work with disabled and vulnerable children and adults. Dignity, respect, inclusion and choice are all aspects of citizenship that Oaklea values. Your donation means disabled and disadvantaged people’s lives continue to be improved.

The Vision of Oaklea Trust -we deliver the finest opportunities in the kindest possible way. For example during 2020 Oaklea supported over 230 individual customers across Cumbria, Durham and Northumberland, add to this the countless customers in the wider community that have been helped and supported through the activities of the Appleby Hub and The Furniture Warehouse is a fantastic achievement (Right2Work directly supporting 134 people in 2020).

The Oaklea Trust often go beyond the requirements of the statutory service, for example sourcing a washing machine for an elderly customer to improve their dignity and quality of life, or working with a long term unemployed individual to achieve stability in the home before being able to focus on gaining meaningful employment. These examples cannot be done without the support of local business and the local community. If you or your organisation is considering making a donation to a charitable organisation or if you are looking for a charitable partner for your organisation we would be happy to talk further.
