If you go down to Comic-Con today….be sure of several surprises – not least our Richard & Danielle from South Lakes! Who as you can see spent much of the time being a comic double act – on the selfie front!
To the bat cave – in Liverpool!
Danielle: “”Our day started at 6am from our house in Kendal! We had a lovely drive over to Liverpool, watching the sunrise as we went. We had an action plan on how best to get the most out of our day. First up was a look around the merchandise, playing with the replica swords and chatting with wandering Daleks! We then made our way to Helena Bonham Carter, to try out our luck at getting to meet her but unfortunately she was sold out. Instead we decided to get in line to meet the infamous Amy Jo Johnson, the original pink power ranger for an autograph. She was lovely to meet and very chatty with Richard.”
Danielle, in between costume changes, adds: “Next up was the wonderful Nell Campbell – Columbia from the Rocky Horror Show. She was an absolute joy and full of life and witty comments. Our luck changed when we met Nell, as she personally invited us to her one woman show later in the evening at the after party. Of course we accepted!”
….Richard become a student again and attended a magical potion class. Even getting to take home the yummy potion that he made. A fabulous day out and well deserved rest needed for both of us.”
You can tell Richard had an experience out of this world – he says so himself!
Richard: “The day was good, enjoyable, fun, exciting and tiring. My favourite thing was making a potion in the potions class and seeing Helena Bonham Carter walk past while I was making magic.”

But this time a ‘galaxy’ with a very different chocolate variety! County Durham based Oaklea customers Caroline, Laura & Pauline headed to Brum & had a sweet trip to Cadbury World and the West Midlands Safari Park with Support Kendra, Nichola & Janet!
