New CEO ready to start next chapter

This week marked the start of a new era for Oaklea Group – our new Chief Executive Officer for Oaklea Group, Jenna Hall started.
Jenna was Group CEO of three arts organisations in Northern Ireland – supporting professional and community artists, including those with disabilities to thrive and experience the wonder and colour of circus.

We sat down to hear from Jenna and Oaklea Group Chair of Trustees, Chris Harris about their thoughts and what lies ahead.
It’s a privilege
“I’m delighted to have now officially started as the Oaklea Group CEO. I’m not yet at the end of day one and it already feels like a real privilege to work with such a talented, experienced and supportive team. I’ve met some customers today and also a couple of parents. The way they talk about their experience of Oaklea is a real credit to the work the teams are already doing. It’s a remarkable story – lets write the next chapter
“I have a lot to learn and some really transferable skills and experience to bring. So, I’ll start by listening to our customers, team, Board and partners to understand what’s working well and then take it from there. The Oaklea Group already has a remarkable story to tell. I’m looking forward to working with everyone to write the next chapter.”
Getting to work – Listening in
Initially Jenna aims to meet as many customers and employees across the organisation.
“I’ll be doing a lot of listening! I’m hoping to learn more about what’s working really well. My plans for the future include building on all that has gone before and continuing the brilliant work Clive, the Board and the whole team have achieved over the years. There won’t be any big surprises or sudden shifts in direction and I promise I will do my best to communicate with you clearly, concisely and often.”
Already started…

Last word for now – not just about work
Jenna enjoys…being active in the outdoors! (helps with the Lake District & Dales on doorstep now!) Climbing & bouldering – Big skies and steep hills. Plus the arts – including flying trapeze. For a more gentle form of downtime – Independent and locally led shops, pubs and restaurants.
