Extra Support from Oaklea

Did you know you can purchase extra support from Oaklea?

We are aware that sometimes not all your support needs are met through statutory funding. We can provide extra support, centred around your needs and aspirations.

  • Maybe you would like extra hours of care / support for the day-to-day routine?
  • Or perhaps you want to do something different or challenging and need a little extra support to achieve it?

Oaklea is a CQC registered charity that by using values based recruitment, employs and trains caring and creative Support Workers (Lifestyle Co-Ordinators -LSC) to do more than meeting your physical needs and keeping you safe.

What this means:

We want to provide one to one support that enriches your life and gives you the fulfilment that you deserve. Other customers use extra hours to access social activities, personal appointments, hobbies and interests.

By making the most of life – we can

Help inspire new activities – empowering you & your loved one’s

Give you more choice about what you do day to day

Ensure you get the personal touch when & where you need it

Why would you wish to access extra hours?

We all seek a life that is enriched with meaning and purpose. This is vital to our emotional and mental well-being. It maintains our sense of who we are and our self-esteem. At Oaklea, we focus on what is important to you and how we can meet your spiritual, mind, body and familial needs.

A key part of our care and support is to get to know the unique qualities and characteristics of each customer. We want to know about your interests and hobbies and the experiences that light up your life.

We will then try and  match you with a Support Worker (LSC) who shares your interests. Being supported by someone who understands your passions gives that extra encouragement to keep on learning and your heart fulfilled. We believe that there are always opportunities for learning and personal growth. Sometimes just having fun!
