Addams Family – No Oaklea Family!

Well folks another Halloween passes and we can now sleep easy in our beds….or can we? If there is one time of the year that really gets our customers (and employees for that matter!) engaged – it’s dressing up their homes and themselves for All Hallows Eve!

Luckily to find a safe way through this – We have our guides – David from Barrow aka Count Dracula and Suzanne from Spennymoor – our very own Queen of the Night!

So get on our corporate broomstick and join us on a visual journey across the North

It’s Witching Hour in Barney!

Our broomstick lands first in Barnard Castle

Oaklea’s Nic Bainbridge breaks through the floorboards to present these great dressers…

Heading deeper into County Durham

Our very own ‘Queen of Spennymoor’ Suzanne – became the Queen of the night! (Well maybe we should set up a Halloween themed dating agency (see Count Dracula in Barrow!) Team Manager Lisa Clarey parks her pumpkin to act as cupid:

Suzanne the Queen of Darkness looking spooktacular. Plus one of my team, Gina, was my maid in waiting to assist one to get glammed up ready for a Halloween bash”

Anthony gave in to some very ‘sweet’ trick or treaters!

Oaklea’s Kay Berriman: “Anthony really enjoyed answering the door to the Halloweeners this year at South View (with the help of trusty partner in treats, Gareth Cleasby) He chatted to them about their costumes, gave them some sweets and told them to have a nice night trick or treating.”

Trick or treating was also evident in Barnard Castle – luckily our Max had this covered!

Take it to the Max on the door of delights

Meanwhile we rise from the crypt in Furness

A Halloween themed party was held in Barrow. Count Dracula as a fantastic host! Our very own Bram Stoker Barrow Team Manager, Sue Mallinson, is never spooked and tells us more from behind the curtains:

“As you can see quite a few of those support got into the mood and dressed up, including some of our staff team, a good night had by all. You can see employees Paula Turner & Yvonne Seale plus those we support in scariness –Ella, Robert, Tracey & David who did a great impersonation of Count Dracula

Down the Manor…they go a dunking!

Our regulars at Manor Barn in Kendal had their annual Halloween party – with slime lucky dip, apple bobbing, pumpkin throwing and a mystery food eating challenge. Big round of applause go to Oaklea Support, Danielle Hannan who always pushes out the pumpkin on these occasions to ensure everyone has a good time!

Sometimes it’s not even safe to relax in the garden!

It’s not all indoor delights er frights either – This is what happens in Spennymoor if you dare venture onto the lawn!

They even made a video of their horticultural horrors!

Spooky goings on in County Durham where things are going bump – this time in the garden! Caspar aka, Kay Berriman tells us in hushed tones: “Team Manager, Lisa Clarey wanted a spooky scene and encouraged our customers to use their imaginations. So myself, Margi and Lisa built on ideas put forward by our customers to set the scene as shown in the video!” Please let us know when it’s safe to step back into the garden Kay as we’re scaredy cats…! halloween spennymoor #countydurham #northeast #ghosts #halloweenlook #halloweenishere

There’s a ghost in my house – just checked!

Well that’s enough of the spookiness for another year! We leave you with this proper legendary apparition – County Durham Team supremo, Paul Copley – clearly he needs to dust off the cobwebs in time for a better costume – there’s always next year Paul!

Paul ‘checks’ out of Halloween for 2024!

Where are we based?
