So – What you been up to Gavin?
Gavin lives with us in Morpeth, Northumberland -and this is the week that was for Gavin! We asked one of his Support Team, Liz Fish, to help populate the diary of a week well spent…
Sunday – First let us pause for vital nourishment!
Gavin helps set the scene and the table for an afternoon tea party session…



Monday – Gavin gives back
“A typical week for Gavin is charity shop volunteering on a Monday, Tuesday is foodbank.” Ruth Hall, Team Manager, Morpeth

Tuesday – Sun is out – it’s wash day!

Wednesday – Lets head to Holy Island for the day
Wednesday is a day out of Gavin’s choosing -This may involve taking in some rather fine local beverages!



Thursday – Bank of Gavin
“Gavin goes to camera club then goes to do a bit shopping and goes to the bank to get his money” Liz Fish on behalf of the Oaklea Support Team in Morpeth

Friday – Taxi for Gavin
“Gavin goes to Journey a day centre where he does all sorts of different activities with his friends. He travels independently by taxi with Phil his cheery driver! Liz Fish, Oaklea Support Worker

“Gavin enjoys going out and about in his local community and the staff team work hard to facilitate this for him.” Ruth Hall, Team Manager, Morpeth
Saturday – Let demolition begin nom nom!

“Gavin loves a McDonalds and maybe a cheeky ice cream then it’s off to browse the charity shops. He has a vey busy life.” Liz Fish, Oaklea Support Team

Phew….what a busy few days Gavin!
Fulfilling many of the ‘7 Keys to Citizenship‘ thanks to the committment and support of our social care staff.
