“A great support network”
One of the regular things we do is review how the care we provide to those we support is meeting their needs. Today Alice and family came to Oaklea Headquarters for her catch up with our teams and check progress.

It was especially poignant as all three featured in our Annual Report 2024-25! Ian & Jayne, who came over from Middlesbrough, were full of praise for Oaklea care staff and the support they provide.

Here’s looking at you….Thriving!

“It’s a great support network – It allows Alice to go from strength to strength. She always has a smile and loves all her care team. Oaklea provides such an effective support network. On top of this the people she lives with keeps her young and on her toes!” Cousin, Jayne.

So much to look forward to

Alice also told us how busy 2026 is going to be – in fact we’d need to put another day aside to go through all she plans! (A key part of the 7 Keys to Citizenship is to have ‘purpose’, ‘freedom’ and ‘life’)
“I had my milestone – big 60th party – and a lovely holiday trip to Blackpool and now I’m looking forward to going back to the Isle of Mull – where I used to live. It’s great to catch up with old friends and see the sights.” says Alice
You can see Alice enjoying her friend Helen’s 40th this week! She does like to party….she said so herself!
