A trip down memory lane
Oaklea support Liz Fish: “Gavin went to see the house he was born in and the church where his dad was the vicar when he was little.”
On the crest of a wave
Meanwhile a trip to the Lakes beckoned – and a voyage on MV Tern on Windermere – steady as she goes Gavin!
Liz adds: “He has bus, train, boat and ferry crossed and even had his titanic moment!”
DIY approach pays off
“Gavin is gaining more independence every day and here he is choosing and paying for his holiday to Blackpool. He has next year’s trip to Liverpool chosen already. He wrote a wish list (below) for his bus trip to Blackpool. We will make sure he does every single thing on it! Liz Fish and Morpeth team

“Gavin went to the Cathedral here and lit a candle for his parents. Yes! It’s Durham.”
Phew – After all that – Gavin likes nothing better than to chill at home in his favourite chair!
