Why are eggs so symbolic at Easter?

“Eggs at Easter symbolize new life and rebirth, representing Jesus’ resurrection from the tomb. The tradition has roots in pagan spring festivals where eggs were associated with fertility and new beginnings. During Lent, when Christians fasted, eggs were forbidden, making them a special treat on Easter Sunday after the fast ends.”
