Robin steps up -Board of Trustee changes
Oaklea Trust is announcing some changes on our Trustee Board.
Farewell Chris – Welcome Robin
“After almost 10 years on the Board, including 7 years as Chair, Chris Harris has stepped down from his role as Chair of Trustees for the Oaklea Group. We are incredibly grateful for his guidance, leadership, and support, and for the lasting impact he has made on the Trust.

The Chair plays a really important role in guiding the Board and helping shape the Trust’s direction. It’s a position that helps make sure the organisation stays on track and keeps growing, and it has a real impact on the work we all do.
Following a Board meeting on Wednesday last week, we are delighted to welcome Robin Talbot as our Interim Chair while we search for a long-term successor. We thank Robin for stepping into this role and look forward to working with him as we continue to build on the Trust’s strong foundation and the great work Chris completed during his tenure.

Robin is already a familiar face at Oaklea
Robin says: “During my three years as a Trustee I have valued my visits to Durham, Barrow and Kendal and meeting Customers, Learners and the staff team. I look forward to meeting more of you, getting back to these areas and to visiting Northumberland over the next few months. Chairing the Board of Trustees gives all of us chance to establish the Oaklea Group as the leading provider of key services across the North of England.”

“I am sure you join me in wishing Chris well in making the most of his retirement and welcome Robin into his new role.” CEO Jenna Hall on behalf of Oaklea Group
