Team Manager and not so reluctant gardener, Jean Kilpatrick, sent us these lovely images of some of her team supporting George in the house* garden at Wattsfield (*reputedly the oldest house in Kendal fact fans)

Meanwhile at Queen Katherine School, Kendal – the nurturing theme is going at pace!
Our Right2Work (R2W) CIC Future Choices programme are into week two of their brand new horticulture project. This started with Oaklea CYP Team back in 2022 and now R2W have taken up the baton er trowel! Green guidance there came!
Our group were given help & instructions from Chris Eastman, ‘Head Gardener‘ in charge of the QKS site.
- Tidied beds ready for planting
- Planted parsley seeds & chives
- Cleaned tools and tidily placed back in the sheds
No wonder lunch in the Yurt was a welcome break from the rain!

Finally staying on the making the most of the outdoors theme – The R2W Community Works top duo (Jim & Barry) team have been busy ‘in the paved garden’. They’ve just laid a brand new patio at our Learning2Live project in Windermere – I’m sure you’ll agree this will be a lovely space for our young people to relax in!
Plus all this adds to our IiP (Investors in the Environment) status….as we go for Gold!
