Right2Work Annual Report 2017

Oaklea Trust’s Social Enterprise arm Right2Work (R2W) has just produced its annual report for 2017. R2W offers a number of work, learning and other opportunities for people across Cumbria and Lancashire; they have a dedicated staff team that work with over 200 people each year.

Major highlights include;

-getting 27 individuals into paid employment

-147 employment referrals

-diverting 120 tonnes of waste away from landfill

The activities carried out by Right2Work include the recycling of donated goods and those that come into the company under its bulky waste contract with South Lakeland District Council. R2W is also there to assist disabled and disadvantaged people to gain work skills under a variety of contracts including DWP, Local Authority, specific grants, and training and education under contract with the Education Authority.

The financial performance of the company during this period has remained strong with an overall surplus being achieved that allows the work of the company to grow and develop.
