“The boys are back in town” says Mum!

“Guess who just got back today?
Them wild-eyed boys that had been away
Haven’t changed, had much to say
But man, I still think them cats are crazy
They were askin’ if you were around…” Boys are Back in Town, Thin Lizzy

We love surprises…and sometimes they just happen by happy accident! (#GladtoCare)

Mum’s the word – scroll & see why!

Unexpected visitor in the oblong window!

Take care & beware – wild men from Furness at large!

Two of our young men from Ulverston were on a day trip to the Auld Grey Town with legendary Oaklea support, Becky ‘Rebecca’ Stretch. They had a purpose for dropping by – but guess what, whilst wandering through Kendal in search of sustenance….they bumped into Sam’s mum – Julie!

Hunter gatherers at large

The cobbled streets sadly are not paved with chocolate (or chips..) The search went on & on in a desperate attempt to stave off their rumbling tummies!

Yum -It’s a sign that there is food!

Window shoppers – Mum shoppers!

Mum Julie -who was busy at work at this Jewellers – then spotted Sam! ( a big debate followed as to which fish & chip shops were or weren’t open for business!)

Good timing…

Timing is everything they say – how appropriate that in a months time it’s #GladtoCareAwareness Week from Monday 20th May to Friday 24th May 2024, where nationally we will be celebrating the wonderful efforts of those working in the care industry. Throughout the week you can join in with a variety of fun activities from Motivation Monday to Feel Good Friday, all designed to get the entire care community and residents involved.

If you would like to get involved in this year’s #GladtoCare Awareness Week, head over to the #GladtoCare website to register your interest and download a free toolkit!

Funny bones strikes again…

Funnily you should say – they only came to collect a new phone says Ryan & Sam…and “we are going back with much more!” (#GladtoCare)
