The Jammers from John Street

The John Street Jammers are a team of Oaklea customers and employees from Barnard Castle who make jams and marmalades to sell to members f the public. The money they generate goes back into the project to help them create new recipes.

Over the weekend, the John Street Jammers took part in a local 1940s event in Barnard Castle. They dressed in full costume and had a fantastic day!

The Jammers are becoming increasingly well known around Barnard Castle and have worked hard to raise awareness of Oaklea as well as building relationships with local businesses. Since the team won a business development grant at Oaklea’s employee conference last year, they have gone from strength to strength.

This is just one of the local events the Jammers have taken their produce to, and we wish them a very busy summer so their hard work can pay off!
